Being recognized as one of America’s Healthiest Clubs is a distinction that is awarded to a small percentage of private clubs. This distinction helps the club to recruit heath conscious associates and members, increases member usage and retention and helps lower health care costs. Once a club has been properly vetted they can proudly display the service marks on the club’s website, as part of marketing collateral material and within member communications.
The process begins with a half-day onsite interview with key department heads followed by a detail analysis of your menus, activities, benefits programs, engagement tools and reporting metrics. Our health auditors gather information during the interview process using a list of pre-defined quantitative questions. In addition, the health auditor will dialog with the department head on what's working, areas that need improvement and recommend best-practices.

The assessment process begins with a thorough review of your current wellness offerings (menus, fitness calendar, benefits package), followed by onsite interviews (and detailed survey) with key department heads and a tour of your facility. We interview the general manager, clubhouse manager (F&B), human resources, fitness director and wellness managers. Optional interviews to be conducted with board and committee members. The onsite interviews will take three to four hours.
Wellness programs are designed to reduce or control health care costs of the staff, meet the health related needs of the membership and create activities that leverage the amenities and facility. Likewise, a wellness strategy should be in alignment with the boards vision of what it means to be a “healthy club”.
The Health Report is the end result of an extensive discovery process which includes in person interviews with key department heads, a review of existing wellness programs and a thorough analysis of the clubs menus and facilities. The Health Report is a comprehensive snapshot of the overall health and wellness of your vlub. The content within the Health Report includes an assessment of the current wellness strategy by department, a quantitative benchmarking score, recommendations and best practices.
By sharing best practices, the club industry as a whole would become healthier, clubs would see immediate results and long-term the economy would improve as people make healthier lifestyle changes.
